Assignment 6: Individual Proposals 2

Due date: September 6 @11:59 PM

Overview
Now that you have decided a certain project topic, it is time to develop your idea through writing a proposal.

Purpose
Having each student write a proposal on their project topic gives everyone an equal chance to express their ideas.  This process will minimize group thinks and expand the set of project designs.

Format
Each student will write a proposal over their top project ideas. The proposal should be written in 12-point Arial font, single spaced, single columned, and have one-inch margins. Try to keep the proposal from 0.5 -1 page in length, with the following information:

  • What is your initial idea for this project?
  • Which of the project requirements have you considered addressing?
  • What qualifications do you have that would help you on this project?

Upload the proposal to Google drive
Please submit a google doc of the proposal. Name the google doc "first_last" (with your first and last name). This will help in the evaluation process. Everyone can share their idea.

Grading Rubric
The individual proposal will be graded on a scale of 1 to 5, where 5 is the best. The proposal receiving a 5 or 4 are above average, 3 is average, and proposals receiving a 2 or 1 need work to be passable. In general, each student's proposal will be the one that contains the idea perceived to be the most unique, challenging, and practical. The individual proposals will also play a role in the team assignment process.
